Halfway

So in honor of being halfway done with the pregnancy I thought I would post a picture of the belly for all to look at in awe. It's not even close to being huge yet, but I'm making progress in the growth department. Enjoy!

We went for our indepth ultrasound today. It went well. The baby is growing normally and all the organs are working as they should be. The lady doing the ultrasound commented on the large feet the baby has, which is funny because that totally comes from Chris obviously! Some new developments are that I can feel the baby kick now and can even see it kick! It does it all the time; already putting those big feet to use....I see a world class soccer player in the making. We got a ton of new pictures and I finally feel like my belly is actually growing a little.

With the room painted we got to put the crib together and put the main furniture in it's place. Here are some pics of us working....

Painting

So we decided since we are going to start accumulating a lot of stuff we should just go ahead and paint the room so that we can begin putting stuff in it's place. We chose green as our gender neutral color, it's called Spring Morn. It's really light and looks good with pink and blue. Chris is doing all the painting because of the fumes. It's looking really good he just started with the color after finishing the primer and it should hopefully be done by tomorrow! Then we can put the crib together! We are both so excited!

So Chris' Mom got us and my parents a video chat so that we can see each other and talk because I don't get to see them that often. Now they can see me and the growing baby belly all the time! We set it up on the laptop and are waiting on a certain someone named Michael Douglas Carrier to set it up on their computer! So hurry Dad!

Update

So we went to the doctor today and the visit was quite short. I have gained only 3 pounds in 4 weeks which is the perfect weight gain, woo hoo, go me! And we heard the baby's heart beat. It's beating at 160 bpm, which is exactly what it should be....it was really awesome to hear. We also got to hear it move which was pretty cool too. I go back to the doctor in 4 weeks for this really in depth ultrasound where they take measurements and look at the organs and they can also determine the sex, which we are opting out of, of course. Sorry no new pics!

My parents came to visit a couple of weeks ago and we got our first set of baby items! We bought a crib with separate rails so that the crib can convert into a toddlers bed and then a full size bed, we also got a changing table that turns into a nightstand, and we got a stroller. I also got some maternity clothes, that I don't quite fit into yet, at least as far as the pants are concerned. Chris' Mom gave us an armoire that was his grandmothers that is perfect for the room and she bought us a little snappy shirt thing for the baby also. My Aunt Zelda also gave us our first toys. We just wanted to thank everyone for everything, we really appreciate it. I go to the doctor on Tuesday and hopefully we will get to hear the heartbeat for the first time!
