We brought Scarlett home on Sunday the 25th. She was greeted by Titian and Lucky, who are doing very well around her. She had some visitors including Grandad, Mamajane, and Grandma Sara. GG and Grandma Debi were waiting on her also. She did very well and just loves looking around at all the things in the house. She is especially fond of the living room windows.
So the due date has come and gone and the baby is still chilling on the inside. Everything was good at the doctors appt. today and we scheduled an induction date for next Monday the 26th, I'll be 41 weeks. I'm hoping something happens before then, but I'm not holding my breath. I don't think I'll break my Mom's curse of non-induction babies sadly, but at least there is an end in sight. My parents are coming down Sunday so they can be here for the whole thing, and I'm so happy to get to see them! My sister doesn't love me enough to miss an entire week of school to come down for the birth, so I've decided to disown her.....I'm just kidding Sarah.
I had my 38 week appt. today. There has been no change! The baby is super-glued in! Everything was fine otherwise. I had slightly elevated blood pressure but my doctor says that's normal towards the end of pregnancy and to not be concerned unless it goes up 10 or 15 more points. I have begun to gently coax my tummy into dropping by telling the baby to drop every morning while making a downward motion on my stomach. I'll have to get back to you on whether or not this works. If nothing has changed by my appt. next week I am for sure going to ask the doctor what's the latest possible date he will let me go before inducing because everyday it's getting harder and harder to function!
